Round Table


GOALS AND OBJECTIVE 2004 - 2005

1. Goal: To provide professional development opportunities with content geared toward service and training in technology access and resources for ULA members.

Objective: Promote Round Table at the Fall Workshop in Delta, Utah and get more ULA members to join.

Objective: Plan and present at least one program at the ULA Annual conference

2. Goal: Hold regularly scheduled meetings.

Objective: Publicize Meeting times and locations well in advance of meeting date.

3. Goal: To publicize the round table and attract members.

Objective: Maintain the Round Table’s homepage (as part of the ULA homepage) with the intent to attract and educate association members about the round table.

Objective: Publicize the times and locations of round table meetings in order to encourage any interested members to attend.

Objective: Publicize the minutes of each meeting

Objective: Send a welcome email to all Round Table members

4. Goal: To create a smooth transition between outgoing and incoming officers and encourage involvement of the membership.

Objective: Schedule a business meeting during the annual conference

Objective: Publish Round Table’s annual report

Objective: Develop a template for submitting an annual report Objective: Prepare a flyer and email notices to inform Annual conference attendees of Round Table programs

Objective: Develop a Round Table brochure

5. Goal: To insure continued activity of the Round Table.


Objective: Present a slate of competent professionals for the Round Table election roster.

6. Goal: Create Member Institution communication technology inventory

Objective: Assess ULA member’s attitudes towards Web communication technology

Objective: Inventory ULA member’s access to Web communication technology

Objective: Assess ULA member’s knowledge base of knowledge of technology in order to develop a resource of expertise to draw from when planning training workshops.

7. Goal: Help ULA members become proficient in the use of varying technology

Objective: Host monthly or bi-monthly Technology Workshops. These workshop will be hands-on and available to off-site participants via web conferencing technology.

Objective: Host training sessions that will be synchronous or asynchronous.

Objective: Create a training resources for ULA members on how to use “MemberClicks”
