Library Instruction Round Table Goals and Objectives 2002-2003
Goal: To provide professional development opportunities with content geared toward the provision of library instruction
- Objective: Plan and present one program at the ULA Fall conference
- Objective: Plan and present at least one program at the ULA Annual conference
- Objective: Identify the top 10 significant issues for instruction librarians and use as the basis for developing the Annual conference program
Goal: To create a Web present on the ULA website. (http://www.ula.org)
- Objective: List current and past officers
- Objective: Create an online archive of past LIRT activities to inform incoming officers of what has gone before
- Objective: Develop a list of the top ten instruction websites and post on the ULA LIRT Web page
- Objective: Link to Utah instruction websites and the Internet Navigator
Goal: To publicize the Library Instruction Round Table and attract members
- Objective: Send a welcome email to all LIRT members
- Objective: Publicize the times and locations of LIRT meetings in order to encourage any interested members to attend (use the ULA calendar)
- Objective: Publicize the minutes of each meeting
Goal: To create a smooth transition between outgoing and incoming officers and encourage involvement of the membership.
- Objective: Schedule a business meeting during the annual conference
- Objective: Publish LIRT annual report on the website
- Objective: Prepare a flyer to inform Annual conference attendees of LIRT programs
Goal: To insure continued activity of the round table.
- Objective: Present a slate of competent professionals for the LIRT election roster
