The Mental Health Association of Utah is holding its 3rd Annual "Awakening Utah" Walk for Suicide Prevention and Awareness on Saturday April 16th, 2005 at Sugarhouse Park. Our hope is that through this event, the Utah Community will "Awaken" to a new public awareness of suicide prevention and a pro-active commitment to life and living. American Heart Association: Simply Fit For Life
The American Heart Association's mission is to help reduce death from heart disease and stroke, as these are America's #1 and #3 killers. If you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stress, diabetes, are obese, or a smoker, you are at risk. This 10-week program helps individuals implement healthy lifestyle changes in nutrition, exercise, stress management and more. The classes are taught by health professionals once a week for all individuals interested in balancing their lives, or who just want to learn about health and nutrition. The cost of the class is $70 per quarter or $7 per week. The class locations range from Ogden down to Provo and there is even a class in St. George. Please come and join us! ~Learn and Live~
