The HEAlth Round Table's Goals and Objectives for 2000-2001

- Goal: To provide professional development opportunities with content geared toward health information resources for librarians.
- Objective: Plan and present one program at the ULA Fall conference
- Objective: Plan and present at least one program at the ULA Annual conference
- Objective: Create a list of health-related educational opportunities in Utah
- Goal: To increase awareness and practice of personal healthy choices.
- Objective: Plan and present at least one activity for the Annual conference with content geared toward personal health choices and awareness
- Objective: Organize a "healthy lifestyle activity"
- Objective: Develop a list of healthy living activities in Utah
- Goal: To publicize the round table and attract members
- Objective: Maintain the HEART homepage (as part of the ULA homepage) with the intent to attract and educate association members about the round table
- Objective: Publicize the times and locations of round table meetings in order to encourage any interested members to attend
- Objective: Develop a list of HEART members for the website and include their job title and area(s) of expertise in the health area
- Objective: Publicize the minutes of each meeting
- Objective: Send a welcome email to all HEART members
- Goal: To plan and organize a community outreach project.
- Objective: Plan and implement one service activity
- Objective: Coordinate with the Eccles Library Outreach Librarian to develop outreach activities geared towards Public Libraries
- Goal: To create a smooth transition between outgoing and incoming officers and encourage involvement of the membership.
- Objective: Schedule a business meeting during the annual conference
- Objective: Publish HEART annual report
- Objective: Prepare a flyer to inform Annual conference attendees of HEART programs
- Goal: To insure continued activity of the round table.
- Objective: Present a slate of competent professionals for the HEART election roster.
