1. Approval of Minutes from 1-14-05 The meeting started at 9:30 and the minutes from 01/14/2005 were approved with no changes requested.

2. Welcome & report that buttons were finished after last meeting.  Thanks to all who helped. Welcome to everyone, we had no distant sites that joined us for this meeting. The buttons were finished after the 01/14/2005 meeting. Thank you to everyone who helped at the button making party.

3. Report on Go Local letter. Alice wrote the Go Local letter requested by John Bramble in the last meeting. The letter indicated that HeaRT would support the Go Local project. Liz and John received grant approval and they may be able to come to the next HeaRT meeting to share more about the project and ask for volunteers to help with the Go Local project.

4. Update on Grants.gov presentation during ULA. The only update was from Erica Lake and she ran the idea by the research council at IHC about having the Grants.gov representative present to IHC. There seemed to be a positive feeling about a good turn out for this type of presentation.

5. ULA Conference update: all except  Extreme Librarians are on Thursday. Does anybody need help with their programs? Everyone’s program is scheduled for Thursday of the ULA conference except for the Extreme Librarians and they are scheduled for Friday. Dawn is updating brochures she has added teen books to her bibliotherapy for children. Amy Birks will help Jeanne with collecting her posters to bring back.

Amy showed what she received to create her poster she will be presenting at ULA for Mental Health Awareness. Jeanne reminded Amy to get reimbursed through the ULA website.

6. Awakening Utah Walk for Suicide Prevention – April 16. The walk is still on. Amy had just met with the nursing students and had a positive and supportive meeting. Many of the students will be walking. The walk is still looking for sponsors. The more people come the more the word will get out. We also watched a movie about the walk last year. The walk is at Sugarhouse Park; registration begins at 10:00 a.m. the 5k walk starts at 11:30. The registration fee is $20.00, but there are group discounts so check with Amy if you would like to walk with the HeaRT group. Registration includes a T-shirt, brunch and all beverages. For more information contact the Mental Health Association of Utah (801) 596-3705 or visit the website http://www.xmission.com/~mhaut/

7. National Library Week April 11 -17; HeaRT has been requested to exhibit at Marriott Library on April 11.  Handout of poster for editing and suggestions. The poster was reviewed and looked good. There will be the oversized bookmark with all the information from the poster to handout. The exhibit at the Marriott will encourage people to join ULA and hopefully more HeaRT members as well. Someone suggested handing out healthy recipes at our poster since our group encourages a healthy lifestyle. The time was not known but Jeanne asked for volunteers to man the poster/table for HeaRT

8. HeaRT Website

    1. Book Reviews – Faith & Dawn
    2. Healthy Recipes – Alice & Dawn
    3. Healthy Tips – Sally & Jeanne
    4. Healthy Happenings – Erica & Sally

Reminders about the Website and Alice will work on hers the weekend that followed the meeting. Valeri suggested that the Website needed some redesigning by placing the menu that is now on the top on the side. Good idea and approved.

9. Other business? Erica mentioned a fun cycling event. The 18th Annual, June 4th, 2005
Little Red Riding Hood: Women Only Cycling Event with 30, 62, and 100 Mile Options for more information visit the Website at http://www.bbtc.net/Calendar/annual/lrrhinfo05.htm
