Agenda:
1. Set Next Meeting date
Meeting was set for April 9th, 2004 at the home of Jeanne LeBer. Address to be posted later.
Next Board Meeting is April 2nd, 2004. On April 9th, we will review what was discussed at this meeting.
2. HeaRT Budget
Budget shows $175.00 balance. It will roll over until used for presentations and projects.
1. ULA Annual Conference, Digitization and Universal Access: Visions and Challenges @ Your Library to be held May 5 - 7, 2004 Ogden-Eccles Conference Center, Ogden, Utah.
ULA Accepted:
Nancy's and Valerie's NOVEL project. To be presented Friday, May 7th, 2004, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. They are working on both a presentation and a poster.
Erica's "Your Spine" presentation to be held on Thursday, May 6th, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Alice and Sally's "Garlic to Ginseng" presentation to be held on Thursday, May 6th, 2004 from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Dawn's Bibliotherapy presentation (copresented with Children's Roundtable). Titled "Prescription Literature"
Poster Sessions.
There is a deadline of March 13th for Posters?
Posters must be attended this year. Apparently there was to be no conflict time for poster sessions. Posters must be attended from Thursday, May 6th from 10:30-11:30 and 3:30-4:30 and the same on Friday, May 7th.
Jeanne to create a poster session on Walking. Bibliography to be included.
Deadline of April 26th, 2004 for anything to be added to Conference Bags. They will be created at Utah State University. Contact John Lamborne with any questions. Dawn said that she would create a HeaRT flyer for the bags. Please get program descriptions to her by April 12th for inclusion. Her last day at Primary Children's is Friday, February 27th, 2004. She will post her new contact information as soon as possible.
Program Board Meeting Minutes given by Molly.
Be aware of the following calendar of events:
2004 ULA Conference in Ogden.
2005 ULA Conference in Ogden
2006 ULA Conference in St. George
2007 ULA Conference at Utah Valley Convention Center, West Valley, or in Park City.
2008 ULA Conference in Salt Lake City at the Salt Palace.
Awards: 4 General awards, 2 Roundtable awards at Conference. There will be an Award Luncheon instead of dinner.
Luncheons: Mexican Buffet with a Mariochi band. There will also be table talks, a silent auction, and a raffle. The luncheons will be $13 each.
Accommodations can be made at the Ogden Hampton Inns and Suites.
There will be 6 table talks, 5 pre-conference sessions, 10 poster sessions, and 70 presentations.
The Keynote speakers will be Liz Bischoff (of OCLC), and Lynn Brewer.
Pre-registration will be from March 1st to April 2nd. Exhibitors need to register before March 31st.
They raised fees $5 across the board.
Also be aware that membership renewal notices have gone out, and need to check on registration for ULA.
Support Staff Roundtable Conference (Congress) to be held March 26th at the Provo City Library. Contact Kent Slade at kslade@loganutah.org with questions. Amy will try to attend. She is secretary for the LPPSST next year. Amy will send an e-mail out to Eccles Health Sciences Library staff about the conference to encourage attendance.
Changes made in the Bylaws.
1. The Executive Secretary and Treasurer to be combined into one position.
2. Kayla Willey proposed that Section Chairs have automatic seats on the awards committees.
