Breakfast Serials
This is a bookclub for Chapterbook Readers. Great for Summer or Saturday mornings. Talk about what you're all reading, and learn about some fun new series books! Breakfast cereals (or other breakfast foods) are provided--don't forget the milk! (Implemented at Whitmore Library, sometimes they meet outside with pillows, blankets...pajamas!)
Mother-Daughter Bookclub
Mom reads the same book as her daughter(s), and new books are also discussed.
Similarly, a Parent-Child Bookclub could be another option.
Pajama Nite
Bring your pillows, blankets or sleeping bags! Wear your pajamas!
Talk about a book you read! Great for Scary Stories and Mysteries!
(Popcorn and drinks are optional.)
Pet Fair
Read and talk about some great pet and animal stories. Introduce new ones! Discuss how to care for pets (a different pet a week, perhaps,) how to set up an aquarium, or chat about issues affecting animals today. Share some funny stories about your own pets!
