Decorations

Decorating for some Harry Potter fun!

To have a successful Harry Potter Party, first I would suggest thinking about Decorations.

Get our your Halloween decorations: hang bats, cats, owls, toads, spiderwebs, ghosts, stars, moons, lightning bolts, pictures of witches, wizards, goblins, and many other creatures (you can also frame some from your Harry Potter calendar! Come on, I know you have one!) Hang silver and gold star garlands, twinkling Christmas lights, or gold rings and Quidditch balls (see Harry Potter Crafts link.)

Create signs: Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Kings Cross Station, Platform 9 & 3/4, Gringotts, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, etc.

Make the Hogwarts Express out of Cardboard boxes or Poster Board, and see the Harry Potter Links for more decorating ideas!

Whatever should I wear?

Dress up as Minerva McGonagall or Albus Dumbledore (a witch or wizard costume will do!)

Helpers and a clean-up crew is highly recommended, depending on how much you really plan to put into this! Helpers can dress up as witches or wizards, as well. Or they can wear "P" (Prefect) Badges pinned to their shirts!

Hagrid

Of course, you don't have to do everything on this page! These are just a few ideas for you to consider. If you come up with more ideas, be sure to send me an owl. And whatever you do, make it fun!
