Minutes:
The minutes of the October 15th meeting were approved with the following corrections:
Nancy Tessman was not in attendance, she was excused.
Pete Giacoma was in attendance.
Proposed Legislative Agenda:
Committee members finalized the Proposed Legislative Agenda including recommendations for implementation and support. Burton will present the Agenda at the ULA Executive Board meeting in December.
Election Results:
Bonds were passed for library construction in Salt Lake City and Delta City.
ULA program may be two-fold: Capital Facilities Act, Public Relation Campaign
Action Items/Responsibilities:
Sara Michalak had volunteered to make arrangements for the ULA Legislative Breakfast. Landsman will coordinate with Michalak to schedule the morning of February 9th, 10th or 11th.
Burton will produce a draft of the legislative brochure for committee review at the next meeting.
Giacoma will research history and text of the Tourism, Recreation, Cultural, and Convention Facilities Tax (Title 59, Chapter 12, Part 6) to determine the intent of the law relative to libraries.
