The Campus Librarian provides direction according to generally accepted standards for library operation, as appropriate for the mission of Utah Career College. The Campus Librarian is responsible for conducting the day to day operation of the library and management of textbooks.

Responsibilities Include:

Reference Services:
-Demonstrates knowledge of school collection and external resources.
-Assists students and teachers in the use of the collection and technology in the library.
-Provides access to information and ideas by assisting students and staff in identifying information resources and in interpreting and communicating intellectual content.

Library Instruction:
-Instructs students on a formal and informal basis in skills related to reading, research, production of materials, and the use of information and instructional technologies.
-Cultivates life-long learning by fostering positive attitudes toward libraries and by working to develop students' critical thinking skills.

Collection Development:
-Continually evaluates the collection in terms of the needs of the students and staff, and accepted standards of quality, both local and library.

Textbook Coordinator:
-Organize quarterly distribution of textbooks to students

Education/work experience requirements:
-Masters of Library Science.
-Experience in reference and computers in libraries
-Some experience in an educational setting is preferred.

Project Manager - Bibliographic Services

Responsibility:

Backstage Library Works is looking for a Project Manager in Bibliographic services. Candidate will be responsible for the overall management of projects as they come through bibliographic services. Candidate will also be responsible for client communication as well as management of several teams of Data Technicians. Responsibilities of the product manager including but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage all aspects of your projects (primarily but not exclusively cataloging and reclassification projects) Responsible for the following:
  • Scheduling
  • Client interface
  • Productivity
  • Delivery
  • Supervise Production of DT Teams working on projects
  • Supervise APM
  • Evaluate/track DT and team performance
  • Assist Sales Department with pricing services
  • Work with Machine Services, Authority Control team and Programming Departments to facilitate completion of contracts that involve other departments.

  • External and internal communication skills
    • Balance time and resources for projects
    • Plan and set project milestones
    • Meet project milestones

  • Supervising staff

Pay: Minimum $38,500

This is an exempt, fully benefited position including eight paid holidays per year and profit sharing.
