Senior Technical Services Librarian

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Dean of Libraries, the Senior Technical Services Librarian collaborates on NDSU Libraries' organizational issues; plans, implements, manages and evaluates the operations of the Technical Services Department, including acquisitions, serials and cataloging functions; and liaises with the Systems Office in maintaining aspects of the Libraries' ILS and other related systems. This position is responsible for collection development and acts as liaison to academic departments in assigned subject areas. The incumbent also provides some reference and instruction/information literacy services. The Senior Technical Services Librarian engages in professional development and other scholarly activities, and completes other projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Accredited masters degree in library science
Second masters degree in an appropriate field
Budget experience
Increasingly responsible experience in academic libraries, with at least 3 years in an administrative capacity
Internet, word processing, database and spreadsheet skills, communication skills, and customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications: Millennium experience

The Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library at the University of Utah invites applications and nominations for at least three tenure track faculty positions.
