Archives, Manuscripts & Special Collections Round Table (AMSC)

The purpose of the AMSC roundtable is to provide programming and resources to aid librarians charged with the care of rare and archival materials successfully perform their jobs.

 
The Archives, Manuscripts and Special Collections Roundtable is proud to announce that this year’s Utah Library Association annual meeting has plenty of program topics of interest to roundtable members. They include:

1. A pre-conference workshop: The Basics of Archives and Special Collections
2. Four sessions on the conference program:
   1. The Ten Most Influential Books Ever Printed
   2. LDS Church History Library: What is it, What do They Have, and How do I Obtain Access?
   3. Connecting Community to Collections with Online Finding Aids
   4. Primary Source Information Literacy: Introducing Students to Archival Resources
3. An interesting business meeting on May 13th from 8:00 am to 8:30 am featuring brief reports on:
   1. UALC Preservation activities
   2. Interfacing with the public about preservation
   3. The Archivists’ Toolkit
   4. Our new section leadership
