2012 Conference & Call for Members

The Intellectual Freedom Committee was honored to host celebrated banned book author Chris Crutcher at the annual conference. As the luncheon speaker, and in an emotionally charged session following, he described how books could provide healing and understanding to readers. The charge for us was not to just allow access to a variety of materials, but to help young people find books to face their challenges. We thank ULA for their tremendous support. At this time we are taking applications for the 2012-2013 Intellectual Freedom Committee.  If you are interested in being on the committee for the first time or if you would to re-apply for this year please send an e-mail to the committee Chair or Vice-Chair listed below.
