How has the USA Patriot Act affected libraries and the protection of patron confidentiality and privacy? Is "Big Brother" present in our libraries? How can libraries be prepared for law enforcement inquiries? Are there ways to deal with pornography and other objectionable materials without limiting access to information? What is the latest on the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of Internet filters?

Does a library need to be "cool" to best serve teens - and, if so, how do we define "cool"? How can we keep up with the hot topics for teens and make sure we're serving their needs?
